This is the mid-sized Capsule in the entire family. This new PLUS version can reach 1200°C in just 110 minutes (in a 900W microwave or 700W microwave).
You can fire clay, earthenware, and now also STONEWARE; the maximum working temperature is 1200°C.
You can perform bisque firing, glaze firing, single firing, and third firing (for lusters and decals). It can also be used for glass fusing.
The largest piece you will be able to cook is 9.5cm high and 11.5cm in diameter, since they do not have to touch the walls.
- The same results are observed in low temperature firing, with the use of slips, pigments and coloring oxides. Also with transparent and white glaze.
- At low temperatures the pieces pleasantly pass the thermal shock analysis, indicating perfect maturation of the materials, good formation of the intermediate layer between paste and glaze. This ensures that the glazes will not crack due to differences in expansion coefficient. And, furthermore, they are suitable for being in contact with food.
- At high temperature, the pastes indicate the same maturation of the material as in traditional firing, the same as the glazes. The results are similar when it comes to decoration with pigments and transparent glazes.
- Because we are talking about rapid firing, a variation in results is observed in some raw glazes that require particular maturation curves, in matte or crystallized glazes.
- We could have a slight variation in temperature, if we make several floors inside the capsule.
- The maturation of the different types of ceramic materials is measured by comparison, through samples and tests of the different types of ceramics to be fired.
The insulating material of the capsule is ceramic fiber.
It is advisable that the microwave be used exclusively for ceramics, due to the toxicity of some glazes that may be used.
